History

Talleres Saspi S.A. is a company founded in 1961 in Azkoitia by seven partners. Saspi’s name is derived from “zazpi” (seven in Basque).

It is a company that since its inception is clear that the local and national market was not its target. The real potential of the sales of its machines was abroad. Although it was a humble company, it was a pioneer in exporting machines abroad.

In 1986, the company changed management, which further increased exports and increased the product range, thus meeting the needs of all types of screw manufacturers. With the new support, the company was again among the market leaders. Saspi has machines all over the world.

In recent years, and to overcome the introduction of new industries into the market, Saspi decided to increase the quality and technology of machines to excel in the market and in most of the elite specialized industries, such as automotive and aerospace. These industries are very strong and powerful industries where part quality matters more than price.
